Melanie Hurley developed Piggy Paint when the traditional nail polish she typically used on her children ate completely through a foam plate. This product is a water based, non-toxic, eco-friendly nail polish great for kids who constantly have fingers and hands in their mouths. It is free of formaldehyde, toluene, phthalates, BPA, ethyl acetate and acetone. You might be wondering what the heck those ingredients are. Formaldehyde might sound more familiar than the others because it is used to embalm bodies and just so happens to be a carcinogen {cancer causing agent}. It is also commonly found in nail hardeners. Some of the other ingredients are just as scary. Although the chemicals are less likely to harm you because of the small amount you are exposed to with regular nail polish, it is wonderful to have a wonderful product like Piggy Paint on the market. This product is also hypoallergenic and odorless. Celebrity parents like Jessica Alba and Tori Spelling have used Piggy Paint, which can be purchased in a gift set or alone. The color names are very creative. Kara was excited to get the chance to review four of their new colors; Puttin' On the Glitz, LOL, PINKie Promise, and Glitter Bug.
